Governor Christie Proclaims August Children’s Vision and Learning Month

For many, August means beach holidays, pool days, and back-to-school sales. Here at Eyecare.org and the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians (NJSOP) we spend the last whole month of summer celebrating Children’s Vision and Learning Month.

Governor Chris Christie’s proclamation brings emphasis to an important subject prior to kids heading back to school: undiagnosed vision problems can have a huge impact on a child’s ability to learn making comprehensive, annual eye exams all the more imperative.

Use our doctor locator to find an optometric physician in your immediate area. You can also find out more about school-aged childrens’ vision, the A-B-SEEs of back to school, and kids and technology right here on eyecare.org!
